I got a beautiful oxidized hammered embossed silver sleigh at Hobby Lobby on Monday at 50% off. It is unusual - has a reindeer head with antlers and a poinsettia at the front. The reindeer is not overwhelming and the emphasis is on the sleigh. Well worth the $12.50 I paid!

Lady Chanel~ your sleigh sounds really nice. Would you be willing to share the dimensions of the sleigh? My Hobby Lobby is about 25 miles away, and it would help knowing if it is large enough for what I want to use it for. (I would like to fill it with Valeries globes that look like white snowballs). The sleigh can't be small in order to use those-there are 3, and they are about 5" in diameter. Thank you! Smile

rosehill,

I, too, have the snowball spheres, but no way are they going into this sleigh! It is 10.5 inches from front of runner to back and 11 inches high. I filled it with faux Christmas greens and a silver and white poinsettia along with some smaller accent picks from Hobby Lobby. I do wish it was larger, but it makes a nice accent for a side table.

Thank you, Lady Chanel! It sounds lovely, how you have your sleigh styled. I may have a hard time finding a sleigh large enough for the snowball spheres. (don't you just love those spheres? Some people reviewed them rather poorly, but I love mine.) I may find a large sleigh, but finding one that fits within my budget will be the hard thing.Smile

Peter, which one are you considering?

I am enthralled by this one, but the price!! $117, 22x13, on sale, from $175!

Hi Whitelinen! I don't mean to hijack your thread, and hope Peter DM (who has great taste IMO, by the way), sees your question. This is a beautiful, unique sleigh, but $117 is out of my price range. I am hoping to find one locally in one of the cut rate price stores I frequent. What are you going to do? Have you been bitten by the sleigh bug like most of us have? {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

Hi Rose you sweetie!! Have not talked to you in a while. I hope you and yours are all well and happy and looking forward to the holidays. Not much time left before the festivities!!

I guess I'm being swept along with the sleigh ride, a little late as usual. I have trouble visualizing the good stuff but when people post their private pics, I get hooked!! All it took was one look at SL's pic (think it was hers anyway) and now I want it of course.

Did you manage to snare one?

I am in complete agreement about the Q's practice of ordering small amounts of items they know will be a smash. Lisa R had to realize she had a home run in this sleigh.

Just makes me disgusted with the Q.

As I had previously posted, I ordered one in silver and one in gold, but somehow my order for the silver one dropped off. I am fortunate enough to have received the gold one today, which is gorgeous and very rich looking. Love!!! I still wish my order for the silver one wasn't mysteriously cancelled, as I am sure this piece is just as nice in silver. I'm sorry for those who received theirs broken.

Well, I got my gaudy gold one with one side totally broken off! Looks like trying to imitate 18 K, but not successfully. I am one who doesn't mind some glitter, but most glitter of anything I have ordered. Just getting it out of the box was a nightmare, glitter all over my clothes as well as inside the plastic sleeve on the sleigh, etc. Wanted the silver one, but couldn't get it Smiley Sad
