Thanks for those other sightings. I thought $40 was a lot. I wouldn't be paying more that's for sure.

That review is really bad. There is that one and the broken review here. Not stellar!

I purchased the antiqued silver and it looks just as I hoped -- beautiful! It arrived in pristine condition and indeed looks vintage. The silver is thankfully quite understated -- that's why I opted for silver and not the gold. It looks a little silver, champagne and pewter all combined. I put a few mercury glass ornaments in it just to try out the look, and I love it! At over a foot in length, it's overall presence offers great design ideas, and will compliment my other Christmas decorations beautifully.

Mine came in a big box yesterday but I didn't have the chance to open it until this morning!

{#emotions_dlg.unsure}Bad news/good news! I ordered two, one for me and one for a gift. I guess I will keep the one that is alright and find something else for my SIL that I had planned to give the second one to....I guess it is a good thing I ordered two.

I opened both, one was fine and one is broken. The good news about the one that's fine-- very pretty! I love it. Definitely worth the price, the finish is very nice, it's finished very well, the color is really gorgeous and it will go so well with all my mercury glass ornaments and Christmas things, and it's a nice size. Not too big not too small, it's really lovely and very different and really does look like it cost quite a bit more. The paint is done very well, and the "glitter" is sort of a shiny holographic/clear. A few pieces came off inside the styrofoam packing but not too much. It's a keeper and I'm thrilled to have it.

Bad news about the one that's broken-- well it's broken and there's no way to fix it. The rudders are broken off from the bottom of the sleigh in such a way that it snapped off part of the bottom of the sleigh also, about a 1/4 of a inch beneath each rudder so there are these little gaping holes in the sleigh bottom. It's not like I could glue the rudders back on. As someone else said it's not a clean break. It's too bad because I love the sleigh and I really think that the reason it is broken is because of the packaging-- just not packaged very well in relation to how the rudders are set down into the styrofoam. The rudders are made in a V sort of way and so I think any little bit of pressure or weight on the front end of the rudders, where they are very close together, they would snap off and I think that's what happened. I don't know, I am not an expert on packing materials but I think the packaging on these should have been much, much better. It is a very heavy sleigh, and I think the packing materials were not good for the weight of the sleigh and did not protect it enough. I think the rudders should have had more cushioning, or something.

I just lucked out with the one sleigh that arrived in good condition, I don't know how that happened since they were both in the same box.

I do think that it will be luck of the draw whether you get one that is broken or not! They need to package them better if they bring them back, JMO.

My sleigh should come today....Hopefully it arrives in good shape. I did receive 2 boxes of Finial Ornaments and one ornament was broken. I didn't think those were packed particularly well for breakables. The Finials were pretty and will be a nice-sized, glittery ornament to mix with the more round ornaments I use on my tree.

I hope everyone's sleigh/s that arrive today come in one piece and you love them (kind of wish I had ordered 2, now)...

Just received the gold as the silver was sold out. It is a beautiful piece on one side. The other side does not have any decorations, so it has to be displayed to take advantage of the beauty. The gold is bright, but the carvings and slight glitter really tone it down to a vintage feel. (on one side only). I really like it as a decor piece. It looks much more expensive than it was, but I would have liked a more finished piece.

I ordered the gold one because the silver sold out (thanks to their stupid selling tactics these days). Anyway, mine is going right back. I think the gold one looks VERY cheap. Didn't care for the finish on it at all.

Peter, I just looked at them, and they are much prettier, BUT, the writing is not on them, and that is the feature that I liked about Lisa's.

It's a 10% off coupon that they give you immediately when you sign up for their emails. There was a tab on the left side of my screen when I viewed the product page on my iPad.
