I like the fireplace and crown molding.  That's about it.

In general, I have no quarrel with the sisal; however, the wall covering is an exact match to the shelf liner I use in the pantry, and I cannot get past that, so, in this instance, it's a 'no' for me.  My eye sees it for what it is, but my mind reads it as 'vinyl.'

For the rest of the room, my uneducated/untrained eye see the architecture as either Colonial or Antebellum period.  The artwork above the fireplace appears to be of Antebellum mansions.  I would not choose Asian themed pieces for accessories.

Grasscloth or sisal wallcovering is so attractive. However, it fades into the white woodwork in this room. A bit of color somewhere in the room is needed for depth IMO. Otherwise, the room is lovely and has great architectural bones.

Not particularly enamored with the decor or placement of the furnishings.

Lovely room and though it works here, I'm not a fan of either sisal or grasscloth coverings for walls. Grasscloth has become almost a default and very over-used.

Sisal wallpaper is not my thing but it looks ok in this room.  I really like the style of this room from the beautiful moldings, the chandelier, the rug and the over all decor. Moving the bench to use the fireplace wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.. Love the colors used, they seem to really flow well.

But I might have to change those sconces on the fireplace.

The wallcovering is great, the rest of the room not so much.

Just from the title, my first thought was "Yeah, my cats would love that!"

Looking at the photo, there's nothing about the room that appeals to me.  Way too fussy and cluttered.  Although, I do like what I can see of the wood floor.
