Purchased a lovely new white shower curtain from Kohl's. Now - what to do with the old one?
The old one is also fabric and I use it with a plastic liner. It's 8 years old and the embroidered colors (purple and green) on the cream colored curtain are not as vibrant as when new - faded with washings. But - the curtain still is pretty and in great shape. I do have a few hand towels for decoration use only that match the curtain and they're in excellent shape.
What would you do with the old one? Do I keep and "save" it for 5 years so when I get tired of the new curtain I can use it again OR do I go to the QVC thread of "What Have You Purged Today" and list the shower curtain as something I purged today??

Donate it to your favorite charity, Good Will, etc.

If it brings you joy keep it.

I have a rule in my house... when I buy something new then something old has to go to wherever. That's the only way I can keep things from getting cluttered around here and it keeps me on my minimalistic toes.

@BunSnoop I like to switch my cloth shower curtains around. I would keep the embroidered one you describe since I've noticed the newer ones I've purchased are not as well made as they used to be.
A folded up clean shower curtain doesn't take up very much room.

I used to keep my old ones thinking I would use them again. Never happened. Finally gave them all away.

Chuck it! You'll have fun picking out another new one when your new one gets old.

Guessing you already answered this when you bought new.

Put it in the garage.......use it for a dropcloth........or covering plants in an unexpected freeze

@BunSnoop I have many cloth shower curtains because if you know me, I rotate my towels and shower curtains as much as I change out all of my bedding. It goes with the seasons. If I were you, I'd buy a couple more and keep this one in rotation. Or if it's possible you could repurpose it as a tablecloth perhaps. Fold it in half or thirds maybe and show it off in a new setting.
