Shark Flexbreeze fan to repel mosquitoes

I ordered this fan a few days ago when it was the TSV. My main reason was so I could sit on my porch & have it repel mosquitoes. Now after checking its CFM rating (Shark told me it's only 456) I'm not sure if it will be powerful enough. Could any of you who have this tell me if you think it would be strong enough. Thanks.

I've used a regular box fan on the patio and it did help. The Shark should do it.

Re: Shark Flexbreeze fan to repel mosquitoes

Any moving air of decent volume will keep away flying insects, or rather, make it less likely they can land on your skin. Misting could help, too. I am sure this fan can do the job.

It's a very versatile fan, both on stand and tabletop (or floor). I hope it will be perfect to run on battery if there is a summer power outage and there won't be air conditioning. I'll need a fan to survive! Plus, I can recharge it in the car if power is out for a day or two instead of a few hours. Possible life saver!

I so enthused was about to order it (in white) as the TSV but I checked and saw it for $10 less at Costco, same free shipping. I  ordered from Costco not just for the big $10 savings, but because it would be so much easier for me to return it if defective or doesn't meet my needs, than to repackage it and ship it back to QVC and have the long wait for a refund.

I think it's one of the best appliance QVC has offered and I hope everyone gets good use from their new fan.

The Dyson is the best fan ive ever owned.  I've used it virtually every night for the past 7 years and it still going strong.  It also has heat, which I've used occasionally.  It's my favorite household appliance.  It's about 18" from my head at night and I bare hear it running.

If my Dyson quit running today, I'd quickly buy another.

Re: Shark Flexbreeze fan to repel mosquitoes

I have the Shark fan and bought it last year.  I use it on my deck and boat at our summer place.

I am a mosquito magnet.  I absolutely cannot sit out in the summer without a fan.

The Shark is powerful enough to keep them away.  It has a few speeds and operates quietly and the battery life is great.

You will not be disappointed.  I ran the fan all day sometimes.  You can plug it in and run it while it is recharging too.

I bought another one this year.
