ST. FRANCISVILLE, LOUISIANA COTTAGE

It was the kitchen in this old cottage by Laura Roland that caught my eye. Look at that luxuriant wood crown molding, ( original, no doubt), and the way it complements the soft blue of the cabinets--

The floors are fab, that goes without saying.  Also like the way they drafted a small antique table and chairs for breakfast dining, instead of relying n the island.  You can easily remove the chairs if you're splattering, and cooking up a storm...

The vintage door with frosted glass, intriguing.  Where does it lead?  Or, does it open on one of those spacious, old-house pantries...

Then I saw the charming small "parlor",  also cute. More of the beautifully restored architectural features, trim, long windows, rich old floor.  The "smokiness" of the kitchen blue, and the living room green, might not appeal to everyone-- I love it.

And that cozy living room is wide open to this adjoining sunroom area-- what a great set-up.

St. Francisville is a quaint small town not far from Baton Rouge, and the charm of this cottage is so reminiscent of many that you see in New Orleans as well.

The kitchen is lovely and full of appeal.  I especially love the beautiful table and chairs , a perfect addition.  The parlour and living room are so warm and inviting.  The furnishings look so comfortable and cozy.  The space, the windows which bring in the light,   The touches of plants all add up to a place I could easily be happy with!!!!!

I have friends who live in St Francisville.  They live in a similarly styled cottage.  I love this one too.

I absolutely love that kitchen! Especially the table and chairs for breakfast! That beautiful blue in the kitchen easily seems to melt into the green of the sitting and sun rooms. Love all the plants and the lamps that were chosen. I could be a very happy gal there.

It's a lovely house. As for the kitchen, what I see first is the wolf range, the rest is just cozy.

Another wonderful post @Oznell

Love the beautiful blue in the kitchen, especially against the dark floor.

The windows in the sunroom are glorious; I'd be camped out there all day and night.
