Re: SPRING WEDGWOOD ON THE TABLE

I have a set of Wedgwood dessert plates in the pale blue with white.  I have modern Wedgwood china in Oberon and India--and have used them both (too many trips to too many outlet malls).  And Nantucket Basket I've had forever and probably used more than anything else I have.

I also have a set of the pink Royal Albert Lady Carlyle shown above with teapot that I found at Tuesday Morning 20 years ago for almost nothing.  I couldn't believe it.

I had an attic closet in our last house and lots of company.  Oh my.  Woman Embarassed

Gorgeous!  I especially like the pink and yellow ones.

Re: SPRING WEDGWOOD ON THE TABLE

What a treat it is to review this posting with all the glorious pieces.   I, too, have a strong connection to Jasperware through my late mother.

It is just so amazing to see the color varieties.   The photo of the large pink Jasperware vas and pink table pieces is breathtaking.

Thank you so much, Oznell.

It's great to find friends who really appreciate this kind of artwork and craftsmanship.

I loved the Wedgwood look growing up, just adored it. As I've gotten older it's sort of strange that while I still think it's pretty, I no longer have the strong affinity for it I once did. I only two pieces, a small round 'box' of the blue and white and a rather stellar larger round 'Imperial' bowl in the celadon color.

Re: SPRING WEDGWOOD ON THE TABLE

@Enufstuff ,  The pink Herend animals are my favorites-- how lucky you are.  Herend, chinoiserie, bisque, even plain milk glass-- they all look so wonderful with Wedgwood jasperware.

You're right, your rabbit would be so perfect in an Easter scenario with Toni!

@Sooner , your set of Wedgwood jasperware dessert plates, what a treasure.  I looked up "India" and "Oberon"-- stunning, with those tawny colors.  Hope they survive your ongoing decluttering projects!  My (one) good china set is also by Wedgwood, with a narrow black band and tiny, Victorian-looking flowers in rusts and blues...

And that luscious Royal Albert set, complete with teapot, what a find!!

@SactoSue ,  couldn't agree more.  It's huge fun to have a forum to share our appreciation for these artifacts of a gracious era in dining, collecting and entertaining...
