Re: SISTER DESIGNERS IN HOUSTON

@Oznell

Might you be close enough to come to next October's show?  July's show isn't quite as large.

These crafters are the top tier of the best, permanently juried (unless they move) by a panel of 5 other artists in the same media.  They are considered royalty of their trades; this is the only show where they are pulled together in one location.

Re: SISTER DESIGNERS IN HOUSTON

I like a lot of these photos. They are easy on the eyes, nothing glaring or too loud. I like some more than others, and everything in the rooms is not necessarily my taste, but I feel it fits the rooms. One thing I don't like and you tend to see it often is furniture in front of fireplaces...

Thank you, @ECBG ,  I'm guessing a trip of that sort next fall would not be likely for us, but so agree it would be fab. I'll compensate by strolling through that link you kindly put up, at earliest opportunity!

Re: SISTER DESIGNERS IN HOUSTON

Even though their style is not exactly a favorite of mine, I appreciate the cohesive of most of their rooms with colors and prints.  Nothing appears "matchy matchy" but it all coordinates together very well.   Also, these rooms are not overdone and crowded to the point where everything becomes clutter. I wasn't fond of the dining rooms as I thought they were pretty dull and lifeless for the most part.  It was if they were unfinished.

 I love that deco table in the first picture as well as the tiger night stand in that bedroom.  I'm probably the only one who liked the metal and glass coffee tables.  I mostly prefer clean/sleek lines.

Re: SISTER DESIGNERS IN HOUSTON

I love the forest-y green paint! It adds so much but doesn't make the room seem dark or gloomy. The sisters' wonderful talent is so apparent in every room. My only change would be the wall color in the first picture. It reads pink and it just looks wrong to me.
