I live rural and much of my decor is rustic/cabin life but this isn't rustic at all. 

 

Looks like someone photoshopped the fireplace in.

Doesn't appear rustic to me. But, I may have a different opinion of what rustic is. Furniture doesn't seem rustic and doesn't seem to go with the fireplace which doesn't go with the drapes.

I like the fireplace but I don't think the stripes work with rustic.

Just a little too plain. It doesn’t look comfortable either. To my eyes, it looks like an old person’s house.

Not comfy enough for me...those chairs would be replaced with overstuffed ones with footstools.
