I am going crazy trying to figure out the substance making up the dining table top.  It almost looks like pebbles under a thick plastic with holes punched in the plastic.  Surely it can't be that, can it?

I do love light wood.  Yum.

"French rustic" is among my very favorites, and this is no exception.

Love:   all the creamy tones, the various textures, the characteristic mix of refined-- as in the old gilt clock-- with the simple and natural-- stacks of firewood, and the proliferation of greenery like plants and moss--  the weathered antiques, all the painted wood, the beams, the gilt framed prints, the nonchalant air of improvisation, nothing too standoffish...

Beautiful and charming.

Well from what I view I am inclined to like it but maybe you could fly me there and back so I could really make a proper evaluation by inspection.

Like it more than I thought I would. Not really a rustic or a French decor person, but I basically like most of it. I would add a bit more color to the rooms.

Other than adding some color I think this is a lovely appealing place and would be happy living there.
