@ccassaday What drapes did you finally decide on?  I remember you had several really good choices posted and I think I voted for the mint.  That would also make me like #2 evern more!

I got the mint.

I like 5 with the drapes you have chosen. I like the serene muted colors.

Re: Rugs with comforter

I was also thinkung of a faux fur rug like this. If i had thought about it i would of got a cream or white bed comforter then used the green in other places.F834D09B-5291-482E-954D-5BBFB18CCC79.jpeg

@ccassaday  I vote for no. 5.  It is subdued and looks really good with the comforter.   You can also look for a rug with an ivory background with a touch of green like the comforter or close to the green in it.  Of course, it can have camels or certain gray colors.  Actually, that is another way to go with a light gray background and a little color in it.   Gray is so popular now and I love grays.      Cat Happy

@ccassaday  I came across this rug from Magnolia Homes Hollaway Ivory Rug at Pier One and I am sure Magnolia website or Target may have it too.

It's off white (ivory) but has a pattern.  It's not a very good picture of it so check it out at Pier 1.  It received 5 stars.

What kind of flooring do you have in the bedroom that the rug will be on?

I think you will want to coordinate that as well, along with the rest of the room, @ccassaday

@ccassaday Fur rugs are easy to catch your foot on because they are much thicker than regular rugs.  I have one and my kitties love it, but I have caught myself tripping on it a bit.  I had to get some of that double-sided carpet tape to tape it down to the floor to help me not get my foot under the edge and trip.  It is beautiful, but I do think some color on the floor would help make the room cohesive.  You could get both and change them out, especially in the winter when the floor is more likely to be colder.  If your room is large enough, you could even have both out, like one under the dresser area and the other under the bed.  It would be a nice texture contrast, though rugs are often called throw rugs cause they "throw" you.  My grandmother had a love affair with those little ones and runners.  It was as if she put one at every doorway in the house like welcome mats but inside.  After her fall that broke the ball of her hip, we got rid of all but those at the outside of the outside doors and in front of the bath/shower.  She slipped in her open back shoes over the threshold of one of the doors onto the breezeway.  She got rid of all her open-backed shoes. She wears shoes that she can slip on that fit well and her foot doesn't slip in them.  She also has ones with laces since she can still tie her shoes.  She also took a step off the steps at the local historical society and rebroke that ball where the new ball met the bone.  She now is very aware of where she puts her feet.  When she sees pictures of the house with all those little rugs, she can't imagine what possessed her to have so many all over the place.

@ccassaday I think 1, 4 and 3 all work and are pretty. The others don't do much for me, but any of them would probably work given the comforter is understated.

I think i might of found what i was looking for.  I have carpet but i kind of like the look of a rug on top of the carpet under thr bed. And being disabled i do have to be careful.
