I ordered 2 rugs and within a few months they started falling apart. I'm disabled so I was bed ridden or at drs. When I called customer service probably 6 to 7 months ago looking for a contact number for Royal palace I was told they are a QVC company and there is no number. I've owned 2 large rugs in the past they last over 8 yrs and my friend took them bc they still looked amazing after 2 small kids had their run at them. These are hardly walked on and it's maybe only 2 years if that and I have HUGE NUMEROUS bald spots. It's embarrassing ugly and a waste of 800 I don't the money to replace them. I have to try and hide the ever growing wholes and watch as new ones form. It's like they aren't sewn tight enough so for get shedding which is normal they are balding. I'm so upset. QVCS response even worse - DEAL WITH IT. so please beware. I guess quality has greatly decreased since my first purchase. How I wish I had those 2 rugs back now. My friend moved far away and still enjoys them. Smiley Sad

They are the sole source of the Q's rugs.

Many are on eBay if you can't settle with the mfg. There should be SOME type of warranty.

I'm surprised. My mother's had her RP rugs for years and they get a fair amount of wear They appear to be nicely made rugs and they still look very nice.

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with the RP rugs. I hope maybe you can contact the company and maybe they can work something out for you. Keep us updated! I don't see RP have shows on as often as they had been in the past...

Re: Royal palace rugs beware

I'm so sorry to hear about your rugs. We have had Royal Palace rugs - some for 12 years. One of them, a 12 ft. runner, my DH cleaned with a pressure washer!!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin} That thing looked like brand new.

I would contact Royal Palace (check for a sticker of some sort on the back of your rug). Their rugs are generally impeccable.

I'm really sorry that another, formerly high quality, product, is not what it once was. I'm sick of trusted companies, lowering their standards. I hope it was just the model you purchased, and not the entire line. In sorry for your trouble, too. Money wasted.

Mine are over ten years old and still looking good. Quality must be going down.

I had a couple and liked them except for the fact that they shed like crazy. I vacuumed and vacuumed and the little fiber shedding got all over everything. It would be stuck to my pants just by walking across it.

I believe all wool carpets shed.

Re: Royal palace rugs beware

I agree with the other poster, that wool rugs do shed.......I know my Royal Palace rugs do and I have had them for many years......but would not trade them for anything.....they are beautiful.
