Replating Demitasse Spoons

I hope someone can help me........

I have some antique demitasse spoons that need to be replated. I was told by my husband's grandmother many years ago that they were plated with sterling silver, but when I sent them to Replacements Ltd. to be repaired, I was told that they were NOT silver, but in fact they were ZINC plated. I had never heard of this! Does anyone know where I can get them replated? They are pitted in spots.
