I don't like the color red at all in anything so I would not be decorating with it.  Pink, on the other hand, could be a different story.

Red has been my favorite color since the first grade when I was coloring a red cardinal that was printed on construction paper (1964).  We have a barn-red leather sofa & chairs, accented with USA flag pillows and throws.

Although I'm in no way a red person or a fan of bright primary colors in decor, etc.... I do love the moodiness of the second picture!

@Texas Gray Wolf  Your red leather sofa and chairs sound gorgeous with the flag pillow  and throws.

Red cardinals are such beautiful birds, they bring  a smile to my face when I see them.

@JudyL  Your quilt and curtains sound lovely.

I have a set of red dishes that my husband gave me for Mother's Day years ago. The top of our table is white with a lite oak wood. I love the red dishes on our table.

I like the last two pics:  just enough red for me.  Red accents can really bring out a room, imho.

I have an antique bedrm set in the master.  Painted the accent wall with BM's Sweet Rosy Brown andit works well with the 'Waterfall' furniture.

I completely agree in liking the last two pictures. The others were just too much red for me.

@Iwantcoffee

Those red dishes are very nice! We have some red dishes too.

I use dark red as an accent color with my warm neutral color scheme. My printed kitchen towels have some red in them. I also have a few dark red printed pillows, a red throw and piano bench cushion, and dark red candles. My patterned living room rug has dark red in it too.

Thank you @wilma.

I enjoyed reading about your use of red as an accent color in your home with warm neutrals. I like the idea of using the same accent color in different rooms.
