Re: Red (Riding) Hood Kitchen

@lolakimono It's a no for me as i've never liked the use of red in decorating.

Red, my favorite color...this, a very pleasing shade.  Yep, I can live with dark reds, burgundy, and I do. The stove is unique and beautiful and yes to the tile.  Very classy.

To answer your questions.

I think mixing silver, gold, brass, and steel work well together; however, it depends on how it's used.  Looks fine here.

Using tile, a metal stove, granite or some kind of stone, wood, and what I'm assuming is a faux wood floor, is rather common in kitchens, so I think it's fine.

Red and white would be too much.  I think adding black stabilizes the color scheme making it more palatable.

Nice kitchen, but wouldn't choose it for my house.  I'd like a more traditionally styled exhaust fan above the stove.  No white cabinets and don't think the floor color was a good choice.

I like the use of bold color in the kitchen. Not enough color lately with white cupboards, white counters, etc.

Oh, no.  Too much red and that backsplash makes my eyes jump!

@vsm

So you're thinking about doing that in your next remodeling project?

Don't care for the hood or the backsplash, and probably not loving what appears to be black marble counters. For some reason, that hood puts me in the mind of a circus tent. I think I'll pass on this one.

@stevieb ,

Glad to know I am not the only one who thought it looked like a Circus Tent, A Popcorn Cart at the Fair, .....or the Canvas Awning our neighbors had on their house in the 1960's.
