We are in SE VA and I think this has to be the worst winter and spring that I can remember in a long time.  Winter was cold and dreary with few breaks and Spring has either been extremely hot or too cool with TOO much rain.  It is tough on the garden - is it bad in your area?

I'm in Philadelphia.  This morning they mentioned on the news that today was our 7th day of rain.  I hadn't really noticed that it was going on for that long.  We are expecting several more days of this before the sun finally comes out again.

Re: Rain, Rain Go AWAY!

Ugh, same here in CT, as basically what PA gets. We've literally maybe had 2 sunny and nice days of the ENTIRE Spring...I kid you not.  First, back in March, it was still essentially winter weather, even with last snow storms. Blizzards in March..the worst we had all winter!  I was actually flying out to see friends in VA that week, and we lost power, I was packing by flashlight...had to change my flights out the next day to later in the day, had to change airports too. Then it snowed down in VA, but nothing like in CT. Then we've had a rainnnnny, drearrrrry Spring, 3 rainy weekends in a row, with more to come through the end of May, if you can believe Accuweather's extended forcast, we don't get sun until June!  It. Is. Awful.   We never have Spring anymore.  It went from sunny last Friday, back to the 50's after that and rain Smiley Sad

Washington DC Virginia suburb here.  Yes, just wicked awful.  Long, long, frigid Winter.  Then too cold to put in plants.  Now nothing but rain and it's chilly again.  Forecast, little (very little) ray of sunshine Sunday with more rain next week!!

What we wouldnt give for some of your rain!  We've had 3/4" since last September first.  Everyday we're under extreme fire danger to some degree depending on how hot it is and the wind.  It has also been hotter than normal.

I'm in the Maryland suburbs closer to the DC line.  All week has just been terribly miserable with this nonstop rain.  I walk in my neighborhood for exercise and just couldn't take it more being cooped up inside and just hit the roads with my umbrella more than once.  My arm got so tired holding up that umbrella but I felt good after my walks.  lol

@aggravated

Same area, neighbor.  I live in a townhome development and the beautiful community garden is almost underwater!

One saving grace is my new herb garden that I planted in that Vegtrug on QVC.  All my herbs are loving this rain.
