Patchwork obrasci i obrasci (75 DIY Ideas) 2020Patchwork obrasci i obrasci (75 DIY Ideas) 2020

I thought this was a fresh take on a quilt.  I have always loved the look of a quilt on the bed.  Since I sleep hot, I find them (the 100% cotton ones) to be just right for a cover.

Re: Quilts In The Bedroom

[ Edited ]

@jubilant   I can't see the pictures.  I'm getting two blue squares with question marks in them.  I don't think pictures post for anyone to see except yourself unless you upload them from your computer.  You can't just copy and paste.

Edited to say I just switched browsers and can see them.  I love them!  That really is a fresh take on quilts.

Re: Quilts In The Bedroom

[ Edited ]

Ahhh, quilts in the bedroom, don't even get me started. I'm sure my love for quilts was all because of my Dad's Mom, my G'mom. She had an unbelieveable talent for making quilts, all kinds, both cross stitch and appliques. She made them for family, friends, folks who were referred to her in fact by others who put in orders.

I grew up with quilts on our beds. my mother always used quilts instead of standard plain bedspreads unless of course they were the old fashioned chenille.

Now as an old adult, my beds are always gorgeous because I've grown quite a fetish for lovely bedding. We have 3 bedrooms in our home, all different sizes (twin, full & queen). You know what this means 3 different sizes. I like mine to be oversized so they look nice and fit well. Always on the hunt for lovely bedding, I can usually buy great ones for minimal prices, not so inexpensive that they look and feel cheap.

I hang all of my quilts on bigger hangers on steel racks that DH put up for me on our 3rd floor. I have TONS of quilts, tons of colors and patterns. I buy a few and always give away some - unloaded 8 of them just 2 weeks ago to Goodwill so others can now enjoy after I've laundered or drycleaned them.

I change out my bedding two to three times throughout the year too to go with the changing seasons. You may call me crazy but if you stayed at my home you'd agree that your bedroom feels like a warm a cozy bed & breakfast!

Our bedroom theme is Quilts! I collects. I have some that my great-grandmother did. Hubs and I made a quilt rod and we change the quilts w/the seasons. I thought the purpose of quilts was to keep on the bed to be warm. I am confused by the OPs comment.

Anyone remember when the Q sold quilts?

I'm not into the "traditional" quilts but these are a nice upated look.
