What do you think? Would you do this in your home?

The bold color lacquers are way too much for me. The reflective lacquer takes attention away from everything else IMO. The neutral colored lacquers aren’t as overpowering, but I still don't think I’d ever do this in my home.

One of the performance venues in our city has blue lacquer walls throughout. It was shuttered for many years. Someone eventually purchased the building & refurbished it. They restored it to its original grandeur. The lacquer is quite amazing & beautiful in that large space. We have attended a few concerts there.

Of all the examples posted, I like the neutral lacquer in this hallway below best.

Re: Lacquered Walls & Ceilings

I actually really like it. Now that being said I would only like it done on an accent wall. Not an entire room.

The walls are beautiful.  I love it.

Way too formal for my home though. Also, I would like to see the wood trim a different color than the walls.

Oh my.... that's different!  It's like having a piano on your walls.  Can't say I could live with it at all....

I hate it. I don't like shiny paint on walls or shiny floors.

I LOVE the bold walls of the second photo, and the subtle design of the bathroom.😊

In smaller spaces, and not floor to ceiling, I would love this look.

First impression . . like living inside a jewelry box!

Second thought . . better not change your mind, may be difficult to repaint over without sanding it off, I wouldn't know.

Overall . . drama, drama, drama, a little goes a long way and can be quite striking in the right space.

Re: Lacquered Walls & Ceilings

Wow. Very glamorous. I would definitely enjoy either of the bathrooms--the pale aqua or the glossy black. Love the black! The other rooms have stunning colors but are intense for my personal taste--better suited for a restaurant, perhaps. Or I could love it in someone else's place!
