@Boomernichols , I am glad this brings back memories of you mom.  Teaching some one to quilt is giving a special gift.  At one time , I thought I would never have the patience but that was the easy part. My grandmother was a tailor.  I was hoping some of that ran in my genes but I think practice makes perfect.  Although I think some people are gifted, It is a skill that you need to use to get better.

 

I usually do my work, errands in the morning and quilt in the afternoon near the wood stove.  It is a lovely pass time.


I had a large quilting frame but I sold it.  I like to quilt with smaller frames in my lap.

 

I need to sit down with my spools of thread and choose a colour pattern and then we will be off!  LM
