Is anyone here into primitive country? Do you have a favorite online store(s) that has things like this?

Some refer to it as, "colonial", too. Lots of roosters, stars, rust, tea stain, quilts, wood, brick, lanterns, just, "old" looking. I can't do the stark white everything look. I know that is still popular, thaks to Jo, but, it's too bright for me. I like cozy, and easy to live in; white would not be that for me or my cats. 😂

I scan pass the photos of perfect living rooms with white shiplap, white sofas and chairs, white "antique" signs hanging on the walls, cotton wreaths, white rugs, and white tables. I don't know how they do it. Most have kids and pets too! I could never do it.

This bedroom, not mine, just feels warm and comfortable. 😴

I love Sturbridge Yankee Workshop. ! It is pricey, so I usually wait for sales, but I drool over the catalogs. Most unbecoming. LOL 🤣

I would be happy in that bedroom, I live in a log house and I do like antiques that are considered Colonial or Early American era.

@Ane1Care That room looks just like my house. I have buffalo plaid curtains, gingham upholstered furniture, stars here and there, rusty things, roosters, quilts... very cozy. I was even attracted to rusty old things when I was a kid 🥰.

@Ane1Care : the "Jo" style that you mention: old, all white & wood, signs on the wall, etc. is the antithesis of my decorating style. It's so popular now, along with rustic farmhouse, white, galvanized steel, etc. Not for me.

I do like the bedroom pic you posted, although I would change the print over the bed to something more original and less matchy-matchy. That print looks dated and tired to me.

I like this room, except for the star on the wall.  The pillow would be enough.

Cute but I would have to remove the star on the wall and star pillow.

The room is very pretty but it is not my definition of primitive.
