While I'm not a fan of gold hardware or fixtures, in this setting with these colors it all works! And it's light & bright! I'm surprised I like it! I love the use of stabilizing neutral colored cabinets & countertop against the fun backsplash!!

I would just maybe add some curtains or at least shades/blinds or even light filtering shades for some privacy.

While I dont mine the tile initially, I know that I would tire of it....Its a pretty kitchen though-love the windows and the beams...

The microwave may be in the island facing the outside wall; hard to tell from the photo since it doesnt show that angle. I like everything except the patterned tile. I don't mind patterened tile, but it should be used sparingly, and I don't like the colors in this tile at all. Seems drab.

I don't have a microwave.  Got rid of it 10 years ago.  They destroy the nutritional value of food.  Our parents and grandparents never had them.  They heated food up the old fashioned way - on the stove.  Try it sometime.  It's wonderful
