I have gone through 2 power washers. I think I used each one 2 times. The problem with each of them were the connections. They were plastic and ended up leaking. And the motors also stopped working.

Next time I am looking for brass fittings and a bigger motor. Sam's Club has several nice ones.

But I must say if I want to do a good job - I should just use a brush and hose like Campion.

If going for ANY pressure washer, get an electric one. If you get a gas powered, you MUST treat it like any other fuel powered machine. That means, making sure to empty the tank before storing. If storing with ANY fuel, use a fuel preservative. Not doing this can easily render your washer useless the next year.

The only reason the pros use a fuel powered one is becaue they are using almost every day.

We have a Karscher from years ago that has two speeds. We use it on the vinyl fencing in our patio on the low speed and it does a fine job. I also bought the car washing kit with those attachments and they work well.

They do help cleaning things like decks and patio furniture. However, rather than getting one from TV, you might want to go to a home improvement store and look at the various brands.

Years ago I purchased one from QVC. It was the Karcher brand - electric, of course.

It lasted really well until my husband carelessly broke it. So, he bought another one and it's a Karcher too. I have no complaints with this brand.

I would also agree to go with electric. We have a couple of outlets on the outside of our house so, since it's an older house, I imagine most people probably do. If you don't already have one of those big outdoor extensions cords (you know the big orange ones?), just snag one of those if you need more length. That's all you need.

Even if you don't have an outlet on the outside of your house, you can just use the one in the front of the garage.

I see nothing in your post that is difficult to accomplish, or should cause anyone to shy away from the gas powered washer. Another big plus for a gas powered unit is not being limited by the length of your power cord!

My DH purchased the AR Blue washer a few years ago. So far it has worked great. He replaced two Karcher (don't recall the model) washers that didn't last any time at all. So, our experience with Karcher has not been good.
