Just picked up a silk pointsettia from Home Depot and it is so nice for $7.88 and 21" tall. it has 12 flowers so it is pretty full. I was considering the ones from LR Christmas show but I thought they were a bit pricey. I usually like to get live ones, but I thought this was such a good purchase and I could use it year after year. They had only red ones in our store, but I really it.

Just wanted to share that.

That is a good buy. I'm always afraid of getting real ones now that I have dogs.

Re: Pointsettia From Home Depot

They are beautiful. A family member has purchased many for her home and church, so many we made three or four trios. The larger ones would be beautiful inside a foyer. I think they were $12.88. They are just in foam and wrapped in foil so you would have to put them in an urn for outside but I agree they are gorgeous.

Your poinsettia plant is gorgeous! I so wish they had white ones available. I would buy them in a heartbeat. I have been looking for good looking potted faux white poinsettias for a while now and cannot find anything.

I am thinking of buying a few from Home Depot, they look very real.

I have not looked yet this year but I have also purchased some really nice ones at JoAnn. I think my Home Depot had other colors last year, so maybe they will get some in soon.

Re: Pointsettia From Home Depot

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to check them out. As much as I love a poinsettia, it seems crazy to spend the money every year on a plant I'll just discard in a month or so (sometimes I keep them through the summer...).
