I priced them at different places. Very, very prices and no insulation value. But, I love them.

I have them in my living and dining room and in our bedroom and, despite being quite the dust catchers, I love the look of them. I got mine from a local company here in California. I do ,though, find that shutters have a very good insulation value, at least here in California. In the winter, I always close them at night and wake up to a very toasty warm living and dining room and , in the summer, they really help to keep the heat out.

Mine are from Hunter Douglas. They are real wood, but I know they also have the other type. I have had them for about 4 years and they look new. Very happy with them. Costco also had a good selection of colors to choose from. I remember Three Day Blinds had only three choices of colors. White, off white and cream, (not what I wanted since my walls are white) whereas Costco had oak, dark wood colors, cherry etc.

Got mine custom from Damium, sp and wish I had done it years ago. Made an old house look new and classy. Keeps heat out, got thermal in some rooms, and warmth in during winter. They came to my home and showed all the different styles and I even got sliding door in back leading to yard done. They open up and fold and they have sliding ones. Depends on your budget. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM.

I WOULD HAVE THEM COME TO YOUR HOME WITH SAMPLES AND PICTURES. Mine are guarantee for 25 years.

I used Next Day Blinds many years ago and was quite pleased with the job they did. I only had three installed in my master bedroom, but I do love them.

Aren't they only located in the MD, DC and VA area?

I NEVER thought of Costco.

Do they measure and install?

This could be the solution!!

I can't find anything about shutters on the Costco website....

Type in blinds and it pops up with Graber and Bali custom window coverings and you can schedule a consultation. You can also check on the way out of the store where they have the booths with water heaters, countertops etc. I think that they could have the info there.

Though they look nice, they are huge dust collectors. It is a pain to try to keep them dust free, so I am getting rid of all shutters.

What window coverings are you going to go with?

I "might" be moving in a year or so and have been thinking about what I will go with for window coverings if we move. Right now it has old fashioned drapes that I will be getting rid of.
