I’ve never seen this before but I like it. Reminds me of old quilts my great aunts made using remnants from fabric to make clothes. Interesting.

🔴 The only thing that really stuck out to me here is that red second from the bottom step.

 

This look is nice depending on the architecture and decor, but here that red step seems out of place to me anyhow used with the more muted tones.

I have seen this and think of the wear and tear walking with heels etc. I have also seen it done on just a few steps ...I like that look over every step. It also depends on the house and the style.
