Nice remodel on a budget....but I think changing out the tile for the hardwood floors would have provided some much needed contrast and taken it to a new level......Just to give the idea of wood floors with a white kitchen...

The after is definitely better but, overall, it's just too bland for me.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.

While I do like the after a lot, it does need a pop of color.

Since this was done on a budget, a counter-depth fridge would have been prohibitively expensive. The only change I'd make (and in keeping with a budget re-do) would be to paint the island a different color than the cabinets.

 

When we redid our kitchen, we painted the island a very pretty green, and also put a different color granite top on it than we did on the stained wood cabinets. It turned out great!

Looks nice.  Just wish the changed the flooring.  Looks dated.
