Do you or anyone else watch Escape to the Chateau on PBS??

English couple buy a French mansion and are trying to restore it.

No, I hadn't heard of it till now, @spud188 ,  but it sounds like it would be really good!  Has it been on long?  I've gotten away from watching much PBS these days, but will look for it, thanks!

@spud188 Yes, I do!  Absolutely adore this show.  She is amazingly creative and when she talks about her vision for the room and how she wants to transform it............I think, oh that sounds awful!  Voila, I fall in love with it when she's finished.  I was crazy about the room where she used all different pieces of wallpaper found in the attic to cover the walls!  Even when she used glitter in the grout with the black tiles, the end result was amazing.

Her husband is equally as talented.  He is a wonderful cook as well as an engineer to manage all those difficult projects.  I loved when he wanted to install an elevator in one of the turrets using a pneumatic vacuum elevator!  Brilliant!  He did all the cutting through the stones himself to create the cylinder for the elevator and she decorated each of the landings,  This show totally fascinates me!

Our PBS has it on sporadically on Monday evenings at 10:00pm because of all the fund raisers.  So glad you enjoy this little gem as well.

I've watched it since the beginning.  It's not something I thought I'd like, but I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. 🙂

It hasn't been on my local PBS station for a while, though.
