One of the odd things that bothers me

Do you have a pet peeve about decor or fashion that your eye always go?

My home decor peeve is HW floors with short boards. It is a dead give away that it is a cheap floor and looks so odd to me. There is nothing worse than looking into or across a room and seeing 'scraps' of flooring pieced together. When we watch home improvement shows,especially the ones where they are flipping the house for profit- I cringe when I see 'short boards.'

Next time you are buying HW, veneer or laminate AVOID short boards. Unless it is going in a tiny bathroom or laundry room where it does not matter.

yes i do ... recliner chairs ....And lamps where there is a swag that is a

chain and it drapes to the outlet ....

there must be others ....!!

I can't stand blue used in home decor, if I see blue it ruins the whole room.

@Abrowneyegirl Do you mean narrow slats? My house was built in '61 and have narrow (1-1/2" wide) hardwood floors.

Proper installation of hardwood flooring is supposed to have a mix of long and short boards.

Uh-Oh! You don't wanna come to my house then, LOL!

I live on a island, near the beach and my home is very coastal decor, with blues in every shade!

Not to mention that blue is my favorite color and 95% of my wardrobe is blue!

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
