You would hate our house - the dining room chandelier cord is swagged because where the builder put it our table doesn't fit. An electrician wanted $ 1000 to crawl up through the many trusses and roof hold downs in our attic that makes our roof meet the hurricane standards to move that chandelier so we swagged it instead. We also have blue recliner and reclining sofa in our den.

I can’t think of any. But my dad hates when people get these big refrigerators and they stick out so far. Why not get a counter depth one. Lol

My home decor peeve is HW floors with short boards. It is a dead give away that it is a cheap floor and looks so odd to me. There is nothing worse than looking into or across a room and seeing 'scraps' of flooring pieced together. When we watch home improvement shows, especially the ones where they are flipping the house for profit- I cringe when I see 'short boards.'
Next time you are buying HW, veneer or laminate AVOID short boards. Unless it is going in a tiny bathroom or laundry room where it does not matter.
Your pet peeve?
As I've grown older, I am much less bothered by other people's decor. I have my taste that others probably don't like, but who cares? Doesn't matter to me if you like blue or pink or persimmon. You want loungers? Go for it. Wall paper seams? If you don't mind looking at them, great. I like my decor and know what I can live with and what I can't. How other people live is their business. The way I live is my business. Life is way too short to be irritated by others' imperfections. LOL. Have a great holiday everyone.

I totally agree! I can't stand the rods so far above the ceiling. I've said here before, it looks like one had no idea how to properly measure and hang draperies. And having them drag and puddle on the floor is simply a sloppy look to me as well.
I'll never get this 'fashion' statement in home decor.

I don't like to see a curio cabinet, hutch or china cabinet that someone over fills to the point it takes away from both the piece of fine furniture, as well as the pretty items inside.
I tend to look at a lot of group facebook pages on home decor and at other blogs and things online about actual people's homes as well as staged homes, and so many people have beautiful pieces of this type of furniture, and beautiful things to put in them, but they seem to not know when to stop. They over fill, mix too many styles/prints/types of things and make what looks to me, like a cluttered mess out of really beautiful things.
I catch myself doing the same thing. A photograph captures what I don't see in person and makes me reduce and rearrange what I'm putting in or on a cabinet oftentimes.

I went that route because I didn't think I'd like a fridge that stuck out but the counter depth fridges are useless, imo. The look fine but don't hold much of anything. I put up with it for 8 years and just recently bought a 'regular' french door fridge that sticks out and I love it!

Not really. I’m more interested in someone’s hospitality.

I don't like clutter, even the deliberate sort where 'stuff' is piled up three layers high and then called 'decor.' Less is more.

Most of what has been mentioned doesn't bother me at all, and I love recliners if they fit the scale of the room. Here's what I hate - Refrigerator Magnets!
