Great idea, but it looks kind of unfinished. I'd stain or paint the wood (can't tell the flow of the house), & add some warm, inviting lighting (among other things).

I really like those enclosed spaces in homes but I'd definitely jazz it up with some brighter decor to make it look more homey. It's good for anyone of any age who likes a small space for reading, or working on the computer.
