I get it. It took me a long time to figure out how I wanted to redecorate my house.
The good news is there is no rush to get it done, work on your own timeline.
I don't like to get decor just for the sake of filling a space on a wall or a table. I like to find things that speak to me.
As already said, it doesn't have to match, it doesn't have to be expensive.
Just start by shopping and see what you find and build from there.

Believe me, you're not alone!
When I moved to my present home 25 yrs. ago, I faced the same problem, even more so. I was limited with home choices on my budget. I ended up here & had to face the reality that much $$ would need to be spent to update this home for both the neighborhood & myself. I say the neighborhood because everyone had to see it going by & my thought was to help in keeping the neighborhood look nice along with their properties. That's where I started.
2nd year, I started on the interior - but, I credit my Mom with getting me going on cleaning, organizing, etc. I was so overwhelmed with all of the updating that needed to be done that I didn't have the motivation to start.
Good luck with your decision making, take your time. Maybe get some paint samples & put them on the walls to see what catches your fancy.
Be happy with what you choose.

@FlowerBear : You may be surprised. On Nextdoor in my area, you can hire a decorator from $35-50/hour to come in and assess what you have and want, and give you a blueprint to help you purchase those items. Money well spent.
