May is apparently the best time to buy a mattress, specifically Memorial Day sales. All national holidays are good sales dates for mattresses and appliances, but mattress companies get new releases in June, so they want to clear inventory beforehand.

 

Casper mattress has been online-only, but they have recently begun opening brick & mortar stores. I don't think they will follow the same rules about new releases because they only have a few models, but if they have a store near you, that might be one to consider.

Thanx, @Katcat1.  Right now, Eddy cannot jump onto the bed.  He had a severed spine and the rescue's surgeons fixed it, but his hind legs, though getting stronger, can't give him the "push" needed.

 

Perhaps, I should hold off - hopefully the bed will hold up and it's still comfy.  He's getting stronger and stronger every day, so maybe eventually he'll be able to jump.  Now he stands on his LLBean bed and puts his 'arms' onto the bed and I boost him up.  But, thanks for the info.
