My husband worked the midnight shift for 35 years. Our bedroom window treatments block out 100% of the light day and night. He slept during the day and I during the night.
I have no clue why anyone would want a lot of natural light in any bedroom. I usually keep my window treatments from letting in too much light in all my rooms.
Strong sunlight bleached my dining room furniture and it ruins carpets and hardwood floors too.
If I want a lot of light, I just go outside. All that natural light is UV light. Last week, I washed a window door panel and it was dry rotted from sunlight and fell apart in the washer.
