That's right, @QVCisFun --  good catch about Robert Passal doing both apartments!   I was struck by how, even though the Flatiron one was different, a bit more "flow-y" and organic, there is a common thread to both of them....

On Homeworthy, the YouTube series, which is (for the most part) NYC apartment dwellers, 2-3 have mirrors in that location and I think it was a door there that was, at one time, used as a dumbwaiter, and it was unsightly, so it was covered over with a large mirror.

@Nonametoday  Thank you! that is interesting.

@Oznell  FYI, I posted an "Edit" to my original post.

@Oznell   I sent the picture of the well-bred brown room to my daughter. Mostly for the chandelier.  She has one similar in black and her's would fit the little shades.  She loved it and has decided to paint hers gold and look for the little shades. Her pictures on the wall in her dining room look very much like the pictures shown in this room so that gold will blend in beautifully.  She also loves the blinds better than the curtains she has so... all in all..... this room was a big "hit" for her!  Thanks for the posts!

Wow, that is terrific, @jubilant --  I'm so glad your daughter got some ideas out of it!   Her room sounds wonderful, and I envy her having some art like the "gallery" in that brown room--  so beautiful.  Good luck with the lighting-  hope she gets exactly what she wants!
