All I would like to add is a big thank you to the OP and everyone else who participated. This thread was so inspirational that I now have several clean windows (on the inside, anyway) and a few clean mirrors!
I used the "adding vinegar to a microfiber cloth and drying with a dry microfiber cloth" method. Easier than I expected.

@BirkiLadywrote:@OKPrincessSadly, our paper isn't worth taking any longer. I'm from a journalism family, but no longer take the paper expect on Sunday. <cringe> And, I now hire off-duty firefighters to do my windows. They do a great job and are so much quicker than me!
@BirkiLady: shirtless?

@depglass Do NOT use Windex because it streaks. I purchase Sparkle window cleaner and do not have any problems with it. I use Sparkle and paper towels. I am waiting a little while before I do mine as part of Spring Cleaning. I love clean windows that shine. Clean windows make any business welcoming. I prefer to eat at restaurants that have clean windows. :catvery-happy:

I live in a ranch style house (1 level) I get my mop with velcro use micro pads or cloths spray with invisable glass spray & done. No ladders, invisable glass cleaner is expensive but much better than windex and the mop is tall enough to reach the top of the windows. I would like to hire window cleaners to really do a good job with cleaning out the tracks & screens but for a quick clean I do it this way.

@Krimpettewrote:I always hated doing windows also, until I found Invisible Glass. Glad you found something that works for you! (I'm not all that great a housekeeper either, although I used to be....sort of!)
@Krimpette LOVE Invisible Glass. I am not able to find it anymore.

@panda1234. When I first started buying it many years ago, I ordered it directly from Stoner. It's currently available on Amazon (of course....isn't everything
). I used to see it in Target in the automotive department.

@Lilysmomwrote:@depglass@pattypeep et al, I don't usually respond to these kinds of threads u less I have a really good solution.
I live on a lake. The back of my house faces the lake and is literally a wall of windows on both floors. I hated cleaning the windows until my friend (who also lives on my lake) gave me this suggestion.
Buy the Karcher Power SqueeGee. This is fast and does a great job. I wash down the window with dish detergent and water. Turn on the power squeegee, go over the window and it sucks up all the water and soap. Job done is half the normal time.
This can be purchased at Walmart and other retail locations. LM
@Lilysmom Did not know such a thing exhisted. I am going to have to get myself one. Thank you.

I had a hard time finding Invisible glass cleaner too. My grocery store found it in a small automobile section. You would think it would be next to windex but no , automobile section now I know where to look.
