Make me sad. More tchotchkes that have a limited life. Pretty to look at for a moment, but in a landfill forever.

Mercury Glass is all the rage. It's in every magazine, all over Pinterest and in TJ Maxx/Home Goods every week.

Even Yankee Candle is doing all kinds of Mercury Glass stuff.

Yes, a grouping is what you need to make these spheres eye catching! I have a display in the foyer w/ silk hydrangeas for spring. They look so pretty at night.

They are doubling as a night light w/ the timers set to come off in the wee hours after my sons come home from their excursions{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I love them!

I bought some of the earlier spheres - the ones in multiple sizes. I think I'll pass on these since they are all the same size - smaller than the others AND each one uses 3 C batteries.

I think they are pretty but since I don't need them, I'm going to pass.

One set with S&H to Alaska comes to $56. Think I'll pass.

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I'm loving my VPH mercury glass items. As dusk falls, my home looks lovely with glowing spheres and battery candles. I also have a lot of Valerie's other things purchased over many years and there are very few that I would classify as junk. Again, JMO

I agree that many of the home decor items seem to be the most overpriced. Christmas decor seems really overpriced to me and a lot of it is really pretty much the same thing as Big Lots sells.
