Wow, what a hot mess! Pun intended!

 

I cringe when I see hard, cold, sterile steps inside homes like that. I can only picture hard and dangerous falls. And While I'm not a fan of modern type fireplaces, I can appreciate just about any fireplace, as I love the ambiance. 

 

This however is just dumb. I don't see how it would be practical, or aesthetically pleasing in any way.
