Re: Mixing Prints & Patterns

Absolutely I mix prints, patterns and even stripes sometimes.  I always have.  Like the blue room.  That's my house--sort of!  LOL!!!

But I also have rooms with soft colors and solids only that I love as well.  But everything is low key--like that blue room.  Nothing loud, and a never a lot of different colors together.

Re: Mixing Prints & Patterns

I do like the first two rooms with a few changes.  I love the floral chairs and drapes, reminds me of the forties decor which I always liked!  With the exception of the blue walls, there isn't much else to admire in the last picture.

Oh, that would make me crazy!  The mixing looks cluttered to me.

The first ones, a little bit too busy for my mind right now.

I do like the other room, though.  More neutral, calming, etc.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Re: Mixing Prints & Patterns

I have mixed prints/patterns/colors--- a couple pillows for contrast (checks and florals).....but very minimal.....  These rooms give me a headache, and in addition they are too cluttered.....

@wilma  These rooms are difficult to look at.   The colors clash and there are just too many things in each room.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
