Memory Foam Mattress Pads--questions

Thinking of replacing my feather bed (from QVC) with a Beautyrest memory foam mattress pad (from Kohl's). Questions if you have one or something similar: Are they hot? Do you have to turn them like you do a featherbed or do they "bounce back"? Are you happy with your purchase? Thanks for the help.

Re: Memory Foam Mattress Pads--questions

I've used memory foam toppers for years. I've never had a problem with feeling hot at all, although some people have such complaints. I do use a nice mattress pad on mine. As soon as you get off of it, the memory foam returns to its original shape. I do turn mine about once every three months just so it'll wear evenly.

I've gotten all my toppers from Overstock.com. They have a large selection and are the only place of which I'm aware that lists the density of the foam on each item. I like the 4lb density that does't "give" too much. I love sleeping on these toppers.

I second all that Kachina had to say, although I always get my mattress toppers from Costco.

Re: Memory Foam Mattress Pads--questions

Thanks. One of my main concerns is the mattress topper returning to its original shape. I'm getting so tired of turning my feather bed and it still is ""thin"" on one side. My first featherbed from QVC was much better. This one (also from QVC) has never been as good.

I've been sleeping on a 4"" memory foam topper for several years. It's not hot and it's so comfortable!!

I love mine, and got it from Amazon (where I get 99% of everything, LOL).

No issues at all; just incredible relief for pressure points and other stuff..

Re: Memory Foam Mattress Pads--questions

We just bought one for a pillow top king coil. We bought ours from Costco. We do sleep on a termperpedic at home. The addition of the foam topper made the bed feel very similar to the very expensive temperpedic for a fraction of the price. They are not hot and are worth the money spent.
