@SahmIam wrote:@itsmetoo For me, it's more about their games with supply and bait & switch.
I've not had any problem with my Luminara window candles (I bought them all at Costco). However, all the pillars I've ordered via QVC had obvious seams running up the middle and many cracked in that seam. That's an issue.
2nd, is they bring limited supplies to QVC when they do have something amazing. Long story, but their country candles (very large oversized candles) sold out in minutes and it just happened to be when QVC.com wasn't working so many couldn't even order. Another mess.
Last, and this is what made me say enough:
In July they offered a TSV that, if you purchased on auto-delivery, you would receive the second order by end of September (ship date was 9/15). The July items were a set of 3 glass Xmas balls that each held a tealight as well as Xmas greenery. Very nice (they are currently offered for sale now on QVC.com). The Fall set was supposed to be 3 glass pumpkins with fall leaves/greenery and a tealight. All candles were on timers. To say they were very nice for Fall decor was an understatement; Auto-delivery sold out quickly. I and many family members ordered 20 sets as my niece is getting married shortly and we decided (she loved them, of course) to use them as table decorations (the pumpkin ones) at her wedding and they would be the favors as well. We were giving her and her new husband the Christmas ball ones to use on their "First Christmas" tree. Well, the Fall shipment never shipped. Many of us started contacting QVC CS and long story short, they are SUPPOSED to ship out November sometime. Also, they are PLASTIC, not glass. We returned all of our Xmas sets and cancelled the Fall ones.
Pretty crappy service from Luminara. I don't support companies that play those kind of games.
Thank you for explaining, I apologize for just seeing and responding to your gracious reply. I'd be very upset too about your purchase for the wedding. As for your Costco ones being better, sometimes I wonder if Luminara doesn't makes a cheaper version for QVC to keep the price down.

I'm not sure what we are allowed to post. Here are screen shots of the Luminara November TSV. I got the email this morning.
Two height choices, 5" and 7"
Colors choices are Blue, Champagne, Chocolate, Green, Ivory, and Red.

I just saw the email. I am really on the fence about these, I am kinda sorta leaning towards the white ones.

@SHOPR wrote:@Loveac, Your post has piqued my interest and like everyone else, I'm trying to imagine exactly what these might look like because I love the ones with texture or mottled coloring.
Then I thought to look at Janine Graff's FB and saw this answer from her to someone about them:
"...I can say it involves a new candle treatment that you haven’t seen before and it’s gorgeous!!!..."
I'm not sure how these are different from the previous heavily glittered candles by Luminara. Perhaps it is the shape of the glitter? Anyone know?
I'm not interested because I was hoping for something vintage, as in aged looking, not as in retro glittery. I am just curious. Here is a closeup of the glitter on the new TSV:

I was also hoping for a true vintage look...or vintage scenes on the candles. But, I'll probably set a set of these because I need Xmas gifts. At least shipping is free.

The blue color is stunning. I believe this treatment allows for a much richer color. It will be difficult to pick a favorite. Unfortunately I will only be able to afford one. Will wait to see the presentation.

-----------------
Not specific to the Luminara, but to TSV item being a cheaper version.
I bought an Oreck vacuum from QVC many years ago. I had to take it to a vacuum fixer. it was clogging. I'll never forget, he told me that he had been told that most TSV products are made very cheaply by the vendors. They can make hundreds of products for less money and sell them by the millions!! He showed me on my vacuum where the "rods" were made of plastic and on another version, the "rods" were metal!! On my vacuum, the item number had a Q in it and the other number did not....made me wonder about TSV's.
If the brand is a non QVC owned product, I try to research a QVC TSV online. Sometimes the most similar items are for sale somewhere else for a better or equal price.
