I purchased H205398 candles as Christmas gifts. They are 3 1/2 " wide. I'm searching for nice christmas candle holders for them. I don't want to give them as gifts unless I have them complete and ready to use.

I suggest you shop for them locally if possible, and take one of your candles in the stores with you. The wider candle holders are not as common as the ones made to hold up to a 3" candle. Often when I do find what I think will be wide enough online, no exact measurements are given.
I did recently buy some wider ones on Michaels website, but they are no longer available. You may find some in-store. If they were local to me, I would look at Hobby Lobby, Pier1, Walmart, Target, Michaels, Kirklands, Kohls, etc.

I got some last year at Kohl's that would accomodate wider candles. They were 2 different heights, made of mango wood, and on sale. I bought 3 and plan on painting at least one of them black. The other 2 will remain their natural wood. HTH

If you have a Home Goods in your area, they always have a lot of the larger pillars.

Thanks everyone I saw some online for $100 a pair - naturally I won't be buying those but they were neat -sorta a glass vase that the candle sits half way into and you can decorate the space underneath it. I will search down something similar at Michaels or somewhere.

Walmart has those fillable glass candleholders like you described. I bought them there in 2 different sizes. They were very reasonably priced...like $9.00 and $13.00. I just bought some bowl filler the other day at Big Lots (mini pumpkins, acorns, pinecones) to go in them for Fall.

Thanks , I'll check them out. I thought for Christmas I could fill the bottom with some small Christmas bulbs. I may get one or two for myself too.

Mini Christmas bulbs would be beautiful! I have also seen pics of them done with sand and seashells.

They had something like what you're describing at Yankee Candle a couple of weeks ago. They were designed for the big jar candles so I imagine they'd fit the wider pillar as well. Might want to check it out there!
