@Mominohio...if you do not want to purchase a new sofa/loveseat you could get two more chairs and place them across from your two existing chairs...it would be a more formal conversation area.....the 'coffee' table would be between the sets of chairs.

I got rid of my living room sofa last Wednesday.    Well, "not quite"...........I moved it into a bedroom that has no bed in it.

@Mominohio Personally, I'm not a fan of the 'all chairs and no sofa' look in a sitting room of any kind. I think you're on the right track to be considering a love seat or perhaps even just a chaise or fainting couch...

I have a similar wood (oak) end table in my living room with a tall glass flowery lamp on top. My mother bought it 40 yrs ago - and I love it.

I don't think you need a sofa in the room.  I actually like the idea of three chairs, placed around the room....uneven numbers in decorating.

It's hard to picture, not being in your room.  But, I would spread out three chairs...separating them with the lamp table, coffee table, etc.  Possibly two on either side of the lamp table that's in front of the window, each kind of at an angle.  Or two in front of the window with the coffee table.  Then, an additional chair and the lamp table, where the two chairs are now.   I hope that makes sense.

If you really have no need for a sofa, a padded bench might be perfect.  With the open area under the legs, it would not take up space visually.

You can find shorter sofas that are made for smaller spaces. There's a great variety. I would get rid of extra chairs; they take up more space than seating on a sofa because they each have arms and need space between them. You could get a solid sofa and either one solid chair in the same color or in different color, or a patterned chair. Decorative pillows and throw can add acent colors or patterns, depending on the seating you choose. Scaling down end tables is possible; there are many smaller attractive end tables. An ottoman that could also act as a coffee might work in front of a sofa or one chair. Even lamps can be smaller and sleeker to give a roomier appearance, along with scaled-down wall accessories.
