@magicmoodz   I didn't think there were any windows at first either.  I see now that there are windows on either side of the fireplace with window seats.

You are right! I must have thought they were pieces of art with those crazy window treatments! Thanks for setting me straight!

I kind of like the feel of this room but it definitely needs brighter lights and not keen on the lighting over the art on wall - looks like museum - but could be brightened up!

That's why I don't like overhead lights.  Terrible for reading, too.

This room needs side tables with lamps beside the sofa and chairs.  Not sure why interior designers usually don't  put them in rooms they design.

This room is way too dark.  About the only things I like are the fireplace, sofa and side chair.  Don't care for can lights in a living room......too glary.  It needs table lamps and get rid of the chandeliers and those curtains!

The fireplace is nice. Otherwise, despite some appealing elements, I just don't like this room and the gestalt looks dated. Among other things, I don't think it helps that the ceiling, floor and walls are all pretty much the same color.

It does look cozy, and I HATE those window treatments! And yes it could use some more lighting....

@magicmoodz There is a window on each side of the fire place, but it appears to be dusk.

With the  walls being tan, there are no light colors to bounce the light.

The hanging lights barely give light.

The window on each side of the fire place appears to show early evening.
