My laundry booster, though not pods, is either Oxyclean, Borax, or Arm & Hammer washing soda. Right now I've got a box of Borax on the table next to my washer. I sprinkle some in the bottom of the machine (HD machine) before I load the clothes in (whites or light coloreds) and it does a fine job.

I don't use a booster but I've found that All Free & Clear does a much better job than Arm & Hammer Free & Clear. 

 

I'm a slob and I've been noticing that All is taking out what Arm & Hammer was leaving behind.
