❤️❤️❤️❤️!  I would wash clean clothes just to spend time in there!

@proudlyfromNJ ,

Our home in NJ, my DD and 2 brothers in PA, nephew in NY, and my extended family in OBX NC all do not have doors in their kitchen.

 When we built out house 10 years ago we were told we just needed a way in and out on 2 sides of the house ..east/west or north/south.

@DREAMON  I guess there must be different rules in each town or something. Strange. I think The poster lives in NC that said it is a rule.

@proudlyfromNJ ,

I think the codes change from township to township etc...I know they do here in South Jersey as far as height restrictions go etc. and they change from year to year.

I believe this is close. Champness by Fusion Mineral paint, white could be added to lighten if needed.

Re: Laundry Room Before and After...

The after is absolutely beautiful....that blue!!!  I would have been happy with the before by just changing a few things.  The new sink is nice but I'd hate to give up the door.  It would be nice to know what was on the wall across from the W/D in the before picture.  I wonder if it was storage that perhaps matched the cabinetry above the W/D or just a blank wall.

@stevieb Thank you so much! I'm always looking for that "perfect" blue!

Good luck to you! For many years, blue was my go to choice for just about anything but then for another series of many years I moved away from it almost completely with regard to home decor. In recent months, though, blue and I are once again having a moment... I have a particular shade I adore, though I like most shades of blue. My crush is most often referred to as 'beau blue', below. It looks a bit more gray here than in other iterations, but is essentially a powder blue with a hint of gray. I also love French blue. Again, many shades claim that name, but the one I most appreciate is also shown below. There are so many appealing shades of this color.

What is the color code for Beau Blue?

@stevieb

Thank you so much for trying to find that exact blue for us!  I've been a lover of blue - all shades - for most of my life.  Blue has always played a major role in my decorating, even in the days when mauve reigned supreme.  But the blue in the laundry room makeover just speaks to my heart.

@shoesnbags  @JohnnyWasnt  One possibility on the color is Benjamin Moore Light Blue, keeping in mind that any paint color can be diluted to less than 100% of the original color.

Benjamin Moore's paint color 2066-70 Light Blue available at Standard Paint & Flooring.

MADLY in LOVE with this color!

Is this the actual name to ask for at the store, you called it -->

-->   "Benjamin Moore Light Blue"

It's like the sky!  So calming! So open feeling!

Someone before me, on this 100+ yrs old house, built a Large, "Mud Room"  with enormous closet, with shelves, & water heater, Washer, Dryer & my Deep Freezer, & it's lovely!  Door to outside, door to inside the house, & plenty of electrical plug outlets.

 Really, really smart, wonderful thinking & organizing.!

Re: Laundry Room Before and After...

@JoyFilled Warrior  Yes, that's the name listed on the paint chip. My suggestion would be to ask for a small sample bottle, usually available for a few dollars, take it home, try it on a small area and see if it's the color you want. The paint mixer can also do a 'dilute' of the color to make it a shade or two less saturated.
