Beautiful....such a comfortable welcoming room.  The only improvement I would make is hardwood floors.

Plenty of seating. Nothing objectionable to me but I would add more colorful items to the shelving.

Gorgeous room, and I love the arches.  It doesn't seem like the kind of room that would belong to an ordinary person, though.  Very sophisicated but not my idea of "homey."

I understand balance, but don’t care for the duplication used here.

Two identical urns, duplicate chandeliers, set of four lamps, etc.

Too matchey matchey for me.

Good there are places for all of us to express our tastes!

It's ok but, for me, it seems a little cold.  I do like the plum color.

@manny2 @lolakimono   I do like the shelving on either side of the fireplace but I would not make them mirror images of each other. I'd add some books for sure among other things. They don't have to be filled with a bunch of stuff, dust collectors (as mom would have said), but I would add in other items including fresh flowers all the time that would change out.

Such an elegant room.  It doesn’t fit my lifestyle, but it’s pretty to look at.

I love it.  Those crystal chandeliers are a bit much, but..........
