Re: LOUISIANA LAKESIDE COTTAGE

@Oznell  That home is so beautiful. I could live there.

I agree with you about the dining room wallpaper.

It is a little too much. That print is huge.

The robin's egg walls in the living room, are very

much like the aqua color in my living room.

It doesn't really do much for me....it's just not my style.

This house is exquisite! Love the design and construction. But the furnishings are atrocious! Way too old looking furniture. Not my style at all. Doesn't look "cottagy". Love the house though!

@QVCisFun ,  your comparison of Chad Graci with other designer James Farmer is spot on!  Hadn't realized that before.  They both decorate in a traditional warm, liveable style, and each has a feeling for antiques to enhance any interior, whether rarefied, or more rustic.

Why would you switch out the wicker chairs in the breakfast area?  I'm not being snarky - asking because I've been looking for a new table and chairs for my eat in kitchen and this set appeals to me.  Now you've got me wondering if I'm missing something.

@shoesnbags I readily admit I am not a fan of wicker to begin with. I don't think they blend in with the decor and I just don't care for the chairs either. If you are a fan, I'm sure you will pick out something lovely. All in the eye of the beholder!

Now that has my name on it!  I love the whole thing.  My house is those colors and furniture styles, with fewer things, more space and a little more modern edge to some things.

But this is beautiful!  And to me very welcoming and comfortable!  Lots of light too, which I love.

@shoekittyI noticed that tub and had to chuckle.  In the next couple of weeks I'm ripping out my lovely soaking tub with the HIGH sides and replacing with a walk in shower.  I'm still able to climb in and out at this point, but that could change at any time. And at my age, it's probably an accident waiting to happen.
