My mom painted her kitchen ""Cream of Tomato Soup"" red at one time. She had white appliances and maple cabinets.

I actually looked nice - not as bold as a bright red.

Her next paint choice after that was olive green...the same accessories looked nice with either red or green walls.

OK... so I know it's probably just me, but red walls remind me of the 1979 movie, Amityville Horror. Anyone else...? {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I have a smaller kitchen so wouldn't paint my walls red. I am debating between light wheat & a light blue green.

I can understand why you have tired of red walls. Are thinking of going with a more neutral color this time? That's what I would prefer and then the pop of color can come from your accessories.
