May need a new double wall oven sooner than I thought.  Been looking at the GE Cafe series.  Specifically the double oven with the french door style on top.  Eventually will need a new cooktop but hoping to get a few more years on that one.  Anyone have GE Cafe double oven or cooktop?  If so, how do you like it?

@ScrapHappy

We've had great luck with GE stoves and stove tops, not so much with the refrigerators including their once top of the Monarch I believe it was called refrigerator.

@ScrapHappy

My Cafe GE double oven is 4 years old.  Both doors open downward.  I am no expert but happy with the way it bakes etc.  Racks are easy to move and glide - great compared to my old oven.

@ScrapHappy - A lot of people have good luck with GE. We have in the past, but not in this house.

We had GE Profile when we moved in. The dishwasher was the first to go, then our microwave and double oven. We replaced the double oven with one by Electrolux, recommended by our repair person, and it's great.  Smiley Happy

I have a brand new GE double oven Profile range.  I have had it since November.  The oven works great, but runs hot.

I should fine tune it, but so far I am just making adjustments in time and temps to accommodate.

The burners also run hot.  One burner burns everything in the lowest setting.  I just don't use that burner anymore unless I am boiling water.  Even boiling water splashes everywhere.  It is just too hot.

I looked at the Cafe series and loved the look, but too expensive for what it is.  My previous double oven was very expensive ( more than the cafe) and didn't last as long as I felt it should.

All these new electronic appliances have shorter lives. The mother boards and wi-fi features don't last.

I use my range every day...oven and burners.  I prefer a basic model, but they are no longer made well.

I wouldn't be without a double oven.

I don't really like the air fryer feature in the oven.  Waste of money.  The counter top air fryer is so much better and less expensive to use.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

We shied away from GE when some of their divisions were purchased by the Chinese.

Our new GE washer broke within 2 months.  Then we ended up w/a GE microwave after a well-rated one stopped working within a year.  The microwave is going strong.

I think it's luck at this point with GE appliances. Hope you find what you are looking for.

I am afraid to brag on my GE Profile range because it will probably hear me and break down, but it has,thus far, been more faithful than my  Whirlpool dishwasher that I bought over the past 2 years and the LG fridge and the Sharp microwave.  I still think my Bosch dishwasher was the best I ever had but nobody in my area works on them so if they go out, you are just out of luck.  I had mine 17 years before I had a problem but when I had a problem, nobody in my area could work on it, so out it went and it went the disappointing Whirlpool.
