There isn't really anything about the room that I like. The real stand-out "dislikes" are the shades (they look cheesy), the position of the chaise parts of the sofas (they make the entrance into the seating area too narrow), and the lack of statement pieces (the owners opted for a lot of little multi color trinkets-- including the pillows-- that are just plain boring.)

I get frustrated looking at rooms that are designed all for the look, and not the function. In this room, the lamps are in front of the windows, not near the seating areas where they would do the most good.
Otherwise, I agree there is something off about those shades, and I'd rather see the pillows in one or two colors (different shades and textures though).

I like it. I also would remove those tacky shades and leave the windows exposed.
The colors make the room a happy place and it looks like it would be nice to gather in.

Different window treatments, and different throw pillow for starters. Also I agree that the placement of the lamps and side table are awkward.

I agree with those who think the shades, pillows, and position of lamps should be changed.
I kind of like the sofas, coffee table, and rug so they can stay as is.

I wouldn't opt to do a room this way, but I don't absolutely hate it. The two huge sofas, both with chaises, don't work for me and I don't like the oatmeal fabric. I don't get the two floor lamps in front of the windows. I don't much care for the lines of the entertainment unit nor for the mix of pillows and that little round table seems to be an afterthought. Sorry though @faeriemoon, I like the shades.

No, it looks like a box.

It's pleasant enough but I'd want the long side of the chaise facing the TV, which I assume is behind the doors of the wall unit. We like to stretch out when watching movies or sports.

I don't hate the room but certainly don't love it either. It's too symmetrical for me. One chaise sofa is fine but I'd remove the other one and have two coordinating chairs on the other side with a table in between and a lamp, etc. And yes......remove those cheesy blinds
